The demo for pro evo soccer 2011 on the ps3 will be released on 15th spetember, one day before the fifa 11 demo.

PSN+ subscribers can get access to the demo early on wednesday the 8th.

Konami say an announcement on the 360 demo will be coming shortly, but id expect it to be the 15th also.

Duke Nukem Forever returns and coming in 2011

Duke Nukem Forever has finally made a comeback and been made offical, once again, at PAX 2010. Incredibly Gearbox boss randy pitchford say's that the game is in polishing stages and will release some time in 2011.

I will post the announcement trailer and gameplay from PAX when its available.

For those that dont know Duke nukem forever was first announced 13 years ago as a sequel to 1996 game Duke Nukem 3D and has been surrounded in mystery ever since.

Pretty amazing to see it comeback so abruptly, everyone assumed by now that this was cancelled. I loved the Duke games on the N64, or maybe it was PS1, cant remember but looking forward to seeing more of this one.

Basically the App allows you to input various details concerning the set up of the car (started out as just a suspension tuner but upgrades over time see this app now a full fledged tuning app for any car) and this will then give you a supposedly better setup for you to apply. I have not checked it myself as of yet.

Personally I have no problems playing PC games with Mouse & Keys, I'd rather as aiming is way more accurate. Some of you console gamers just don't like it and that is fine as you have an option..

PS- there is another program called "Xpadder" but it installs way to many files on your PC where as JoytoKey works from one file and no install.. If you need help just ask.

New Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer Modes, Details

Treyarch online director Dan Bunting and multiplayer design director David Vonderhaar took the stage during a special event in Los Angeles tonight to announce new multiplayer modes for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

For the first time ever, Call of Duty is getting its own offline multiplayer Bot mode called Combat Training. This mode uses a completely independent rank progression, which you can play alone or with friends. Consider this a new opportunity to train before you test your skills online.

Tier 1 perks also now impact how your character looks in the game. Flak Jacket, for example, makes you look like the dude from Hurt Locker.

Two new Killstreak special weapon care packages were shown; a chain gun called the Death Machine and a missile launcher called the Grim Reaper. Other kill streaks include napalm strike, rc-xd (remote controlled car), gunship, mortars, and a SAM turret to shoot down gunships.

A new form of in-game currency is now being added called "CP" or CoD Points. Players will earn money as they play that they can then use to unlock weapons. CoD Points can not be purchased with real money.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Xbox 360 Trailer - Wager Match Trailer

Players can also take time limited challenges called Contracts to earn some dough. The three contract categories are Mercenary, Operations, and Specialist. Mercenary rewards players for kills and kill streaks, Operations are for team players, and Specialists are for unique play styles.

Gambling has arrived in the form of a new mode called Wager Match where players can bet CoD points. The top three players split the winnings. This mode includes four new game types:

One in the Chamber -- Players will start with pistols only, one bullet, and three lives. If you kill someone you get a bullet.

Sticks and Stones -- Players start with a crossbow and a ballistic knife, and a tomahawk. If a player is killed with a tomahawk they go bankrupted.

Gun Game -- All players start with pistol, and every kill gives you a better weapon. First one to progress through the weapons wins. If you get knifed you get reset a level.

Sharp Shooter -- All players start with the same randomly selected weapon. Weapons cycle, but everyone has the same weapon.

Treyarch also went in-depth with an all-new weapon customization system.

Players will now be able to attach custom made emblems and decals onto their weapons, and attach custom targeting reticules (such as a red smiley face dot). Players will be able to edit, rotate, and scale images to place on all of the weapons they've unlocked.

Lastly, Theater Mode was shown, allowing players to record clips and create screenshots to tag and share with friends online. The camera can be switched between first and third person perspectives as well as free roam. IGN

Apple's Answer To Xbox Live Launches Next Week

Apple first revealed plans for its unified gaming service back in April, and we've been waiting patiently for news of its release since then. Today at Apple's special event in San Francisco, Steve Jobs revealed that the Game Center will be a part of next week's iOS 4.1 update for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Based on the graphic novels created by a fellow nerd and revered by a generation of 20 something year olds who grew up with videogames, the possibility of an Ubisoft produced film tie-in probably had a lot of people worried. Thankfully, unlike last year's Watchmen titles, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game gets it right. Drawing its inspiration and aesthetic from late eighties/early nineties beat'em-ups, the development team have managed to create a game well suited to its source material.

Dead rising 2 case zero is also on the marketplace, played the trial and really liked it, its much better than the first one. For only 400ms points im definetely buying it and may do a review.

Gran Turismo 5 requires a small install of 256MB to run - but to get the best out of the game, you're going to need to take up a much bigger chunk of your PS3's HDD.

Polyphony Digital boss Kaz Yamauci has recommended players earmark 10GB of space to install the game - presumably to take the heat off the Blu-ray disc.

According to a Tweet from the man himself (translated by Andriasang), Yamauchi believes a 10GB install is required for a "smooth" gameplay experience.

Right, time to find a docking station for the iPhone.

I've always liked to have a docking stations for phones next to the bed so I can pop them in and let them charge overnight so now Im looking for something similar but a few extras.

A clock and a couple of speakers are a must anyway as well as an FM radio. After that just something that looks well and aint too big.

Ginx TV UK, a dedicted gaming channell, will hit the airwaves by the end of November 2010 and is aiming to be fully distributed across Sky and Virgin Media Networks. Ginx TV is looking at both High Definition and Standard Definition distribution.

Kinect beta kits and dashboard updates go live for selected participants

Check your email inbox's as microsoft has started the Beta preview for the new dashboard update coming this fall. Not only that but full Kinect hardware beta kits are being sent out to a few lucky people along with with a copy of kinect adventures, joy ride and kinect sports.

The dashboard update is the same as the one that was leaked a couple months back that you can see here.

It also has new kinect friendly avatars that have been resized, you can see the example of mjaor nelsons one here

How good a gamer are you?

I know we can all brag about high our gamerscore is, how many trophies we've got or claim the higher ground after the sweetest of victories in some of the leagues and fun nights, but seriously how good a gamer do you think you are?

With regards to online play then personally I think I'm probably quite average, there's certain games like Pro Evo where I can think I can hold my own against anybody, but when it comes to online shooters and racers then I'll always be somewhere in the middle of the pack, albeit with the occasional moment of inspirational genius.

In terms of offline play things obviously get a bit cloudier as there's no real way of seperating the wheat from the chaff, and as games get easier and a proliferation of hints and tips pop up all over the internet it's nigh on impossible to take too much pride from completing any single player missions these days.

But from my own point of view I can generally complete most games on one of the harder difficulties without attempting the insane/hardcore/impossible hardest of difficulties. When it comes to puzzle orientated games and ones where you have to use the ole grey matter I find that I will figure things out maybe a bit quicker than some but all in all I'm very much an average gamer.

Halo Reach release date could be pushed forward over piracy

Microsoft has refused to comment on the possibility of it moving the release date of Halo Reach forward - following the game's appearance on BitTorrent sites.

The code was then leaked onto Torrent sites - with in-game footage quickly appearing on YouTube. The ending of the game has even been given away by one particularly spoilerific uploader.

With three weeks until the game's September 14 release, Microsoft is being pressured to act by fans - and, no doubt, by its shareholders.

Movement of release dates in response to leaks is common in the music industry. Albums from acts such as Eminem, MGMT, Jay-Z and 50 Cent have all been pulled forward due to piracy in recent months.

When asked if the release date could change as a result of the Torrent activity, an MS spokesperson told CVG:

"We have nothing further to announce in relation to Halo Reach at this time."

Britain's Secretary of State for Defense went on record yesterday calling for a retail ban on EA's forthcoming Medal Of Honor, a modern military first-person shooter set during the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan.

Highly difficult choice for me and there's probably plenty of great performances that I've forgotten about but one that will always stand out for me is De Niro's portrayal of Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull. He was at his pomp as an actor at this time and he took method acting to another level and endangered his health by piling on the pounds to depict LaMotta in his retirement days. This scene in particular is something special.

Another performance that I love is Richard Harris' in 'This Sporting Life'. It's quite an old film now but anyone who hasn't seen it shouldn't be put off by that as it's an opportunity to see one of the all time greats at his very best.

Have to give honourable mentions to Pacino in The Godfather and virtually the entire cast of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest aswell.

It is always great to do a true beta like this, because at the end of the day, this game is for you, the gamers. We received some amazing feedback and opted to extend the beta to make sure that we were able to hear as much of it as we could. Twitter, Facebook, and our forums have been blowing up with comments and we have been taking many notes.

We have learned a lot, and we wanted to take this opportunity to run down some of the major changes/fixes we have made to the game as a direct result of your feedback.

Improved Hit Detection

This was a very big issue and came up many times in the forums. We are glad to say that hit detection has been vastly improved. We really tightened up the mechanics and essentially, wherever the bullet hits on the body � that is where the hit registers. It is even possible to shoot and have the bullet go between someone�s legs � it is that precise!

Weapon Pickups

Out of ammo? No longer do you need to find an ammo crate. Find the nearest dead enemy/friendly and pick up their weapon. And remember, the knife knows no ammunition, so if you really want to be Tier 1 � pull out that bad boy and start slashing your way to victory. More here

What this means: Halo 3 supported multiplayer campaign but not matchmaking for it. So you could hop into a game with a friend over Xbox Live but couldn't search for them. Halo: Reach will instead feature its own campaign playlist, allowing you to find your pals (or team up with anyone at random.) This will be especially handy for later levels or harder modes where you need a friend to help out.

Defence Secretary Liam Fox has called on UK retailers to refuse to stock EA's Medal Of Honor - labelling the option to play as The Taliban in the multiplayer mode of the game 'disgusting'.

The FPS's controversial multiplayer mode has already caused upset in the US media - but Tory MP Fox's diatribe, printed in today's Sunday Times, is the strongest reaction seen yet.

Fox erroneously claims that the mode sees The Taliban shooting British soldiers - when there are no UK troops in the game. But the ferocity of his attack is unwavering.

Many of us were fairly surprised when Apple introduced another "reivented" thing, which was FaceTime. We in Europe have had the opportunity to use videocalls already 5 years ago. Now Apple came up with FaceTime. WTF you may ask yourself. Well, I have researched the matter a bit and it turns out, FaceTime is something new indeed.

On the wave of collective joy one important detail escaped most commentators. FaceTime - as opposed to video calling on 3G networks - is not counted in the same way as standard dial-up connections. Once a FaceTime session is established, you do not pay anything to the operator. Cool, huh? It wasn't the case two, three or five years ago.

The lion's share of the amount we pay for every minute, goes straight into the pockets of our operators in form of so called interconnect charges.

And suddenly, into the finely woven world of operators comes Apple with its FaceTime, for whom all these interconnect charges are completely irrelevant. An operator becomes a

. To talk for free you won't have to change your operator - you change your phone. Or buy an iPod (FaceTime is believed to be on tens of millions of Apple products this year).

Videocall is a lure. Something that catches the eye, which can easily be shown in a commercial, which produces the effect of wow. FaceTime can be sold not as a "free call", but as a "super-call" (which, by the way, is free). Besides, who said that it will be free for all and in any form? The aim is to cut off sources of revenue for mobile operators.

Who said, we will have to dial regular phone numbers in near future as we do today? Instead of a phone number maybe we will simply "dial" an email address?

FaceTime in its present form (only via WiFi) is the most, what Steve J. can afford. Besides, technical conditions are also important. It is not easy to ensure continuous connection to the VoIP network.

NHL 11 is a top class game i have play'd most hockey games but this 1 stands out to me as the match engine is brill and the bits they have put in like sticks brakeing when u shoot as well as the new checking system is 1 of the best every check is different its never the same... The skill moves are cool but hard to pull of as u mite get hit and hit the ice hard but still a wow moment seeing it all.. u can pin the other team player on the bored if he got the puck just to win the puck but make shore you let him go as it mite be sent to the sin bin..the game is all so a franchise winner of twenty two sport games of the year awards...its got the online clubs just like fifa has u just nead 2 players to play so u dont need to have 3 like in fifa i hope some of u will get the game as its a grate laff..

Lads,
Looks like my home PC has gone to the great electronic recycling skip in the sky.

It is/was a Dell Optiplex SX280. Sometimes when you switch it on, you get 6 beeps and the diagnostic lights on the back indicate a power supply/memory problem. Have yet to fully take it apart, though, I have taken out memory, HDD, tried to power it up, and nothing. Have checked the top of the capacitors and they seem fine, cause apparently if they go, the top of the capacitor has a dome shape as opposed to a flat top.

Brought it into the office yesterday and the wee b@stard worked fine after a bit of tinkering including the one inch drop (sys admin in work did that). Tried it in various plugs in the house and nothing.

Bought a new SATA II HDD plugged that in to see if it would register it, but not a sausage.

Any ideas before I chuck it.

Have had to borrow the borther in laws laptop for the moment.

It's the first time Treyarch has worked outside of World War II for a Call Of Duty game. How has that been for the designers?
"Kinda liberating. It's not that they don't like working on World War II games, it's just there's so many more opportunities they could work with for the Cold War era in this Black Ops game. You know, we've been making WWII games for a long time and we're pretty good at it and we have a lot of fun with it, but any time we start a new project we want to start telling new stories and create gameplay that people haven't seen before in the Call Of Duty franchise. Back in World At War, our solution to that was to create the Pacific Theatre, but now Call Of Duty has done WWII, Call Of Duty has done modern, let's make a brand new genre, so that was important."

Did the designers take any cues from Modern Warfare in terms of locations and missions?
"No, we've created our own story from scratch, it's a unique fictional story, completely one hundred percent original. We're not there to tell history and we're not there to make any political stances, it's strictly there to be an entertaining game. So when you play through the story you're going to get, it's pretty awesome, it's a rollercoaster ride for sure. It's a complex story but not so complex to the point where it's confusing, we don't want to cross that line, we don't want to be confusing with the story or plot world."

Can you tell us anything about the multiplayer right now?
"You've seen the teaser for sure and you're probably picking it apart for clues and hints, and the point of the teaser was to create more questions than answers, we wanted you guys to wonder and theorise. I can tell you that a lot of your theories are pretty accurate, but I can also say that everything in that teaser is just the tip of the iceberg and there is so much more to multiplayer. I think people are honestly going to be really, really surprised when we unveil all of our multiplayer. I think they're going to go, 'Holy s**t, we didn't see that coming'." Full interview here

That converts to GBP850.00 or EUR1160.00 which is probably a small bit expensive for a game only 4 weeks away from release.

EA announced at gamescom today that Mass effect 2 is coming to playstation 3 in January 2011.

Please if you didnt buy it on the 360 PLEASE go and buy it the ps3 when it comes out.

And those who only have 360 PLEASE PLEASE go and buy it now. I havent heard of a single person who's played it that hasnt liked it, and its one of the best games ive ever played.

After downloading a couple of games I am just wondering if any of you guys have any games on the iphone that are online enabled.

So far I have F1 2009 which is a pretty cool game . Graphics are surprisingly good. (still getting used to some of the games on the iphone.)

One of my favourites is Monopoly and that is also online enabled.Join a room or host a room, up to yourself.

"Gun Loco" is Square enix's new 360 exclusive

Square Enix has officially revealed what its "Gun Loco" trademark is about. Stay with us, here: it's an Xbox 360 game, due next year, about a planet full of brutally insane (or "loco," if you will) criminals, okay? And they have firearms.

Gun Loco is set on a prison planet (which, for some reason, has Earth-like ruins throughout) where the universe's worst criminals are left unsupervised. The prisoners have created different factions, and are locked in constant warfare. In game terms, this setup translates to an online shooter for up to 12 players, set in seven different climate zones and several different maps.

Red Faction: Battlegrounds coming to XBLA and PSN

THQ Digital creative director Don Whiteford revealed his studio's first major title, Red Faction: Battlegrounds, being built by a core team of just four people. As reported by Gamasutra, THQ Digital Warrington � formerly known as Juice Games � is working on the companion game, due for release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network before next year's March retail release of Red Faction: Armageddon. THQ's Danny Bilson previously said it would be available "three or four months" before Armageddon, putting the downloadable title's launch somewhere around December of this year.

Gamasutra reported that Battlegrounds is a "topdown car, mech and rover combat title [...] with up to four players on the same screen" and offers the ability to "unlock unique elements in Red Faction: Armageddon."

Master League Online Explained!

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has released a detailed video explaining the intricacies of PES 2011�s Master League Online mode.

Producer Shingo �Seabass� Takatsuka uses the new footage to explain how the new addition works, detailing the basic mechanics such as player transfers, etc, and how the player can compete against their peers. Seabass also uses the video to introduce a number of other advances to the new game, such as the Stadium Edit.

Konami has also confirmed that it will use this year�s gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, to announce other news about PES 2011.

A 4 part drama spin off from the movie due to air on Channel 4 in September

On 26 August 2009, Channel 4 said it would fund a four-part television drama, This Is England 1986, to be written by Shane Meadows and Jack Thorne. It will pick up the story of several characters, four years on. Meadows said:

When I finished This Is England, I had a wealth of material and unused ideas that I felt very keen to take further � audiences seemed to really respond to the characters we created and out of my longstanding relationship with Film4 and Channel 4 the idea for a television serial developed. Not only did I want to take the story of the gang broader and deeper, I also saw in the experiences of the young in 1986 many resonances to now � recession, lack of jobs, sense of the world at a turning point. Whereas the film told part of the story, the TV serial will tell the rest.
