Ghost Recon Future Soldier is a game that seems to have been in development since the very dawn of technology. Ironically, the game itself, as the title suggests, is about how near future technology will give our best soldiers the advantage on the battlefield. Ubisoft is using a bit of current technology in Facebook to post the first in a series of inside looks at what makes Ghost Recon Future Soldier special. This first video highlights the animation and cover system gamers can expect when they step into the boots of a soldier from the future.

The video depicts a very detailed character model moving in a very convincing way about the field. Ubisoft wants us to never forget this is a 3rd person shooter and that actual Navy Seals were used to motion capture every dive, vault, and roll in the game. Ubisoft also boasts that more than 2,500 animations were used on the main character alone, and seeing the game in motion you can tell why it’s making this such a big deal.
